Mt name is Kody and I'm a Kermode bear. I live with my family in the remote rain forests of British Columbia. The natives refer to us a s Spirit Bear . They believe that Raven made one out of every 10 of us white as a reminder of the glacier age and so we could bring peace to the world. We are also known as Ghost Bear as we are seldom seen and disappear deep into the forest. As an endangered species we may disappear forever. Kodys chilkat blanket was designed exclusively by renowned Comox artist Andy Everson. Kody's blanket depicts momma Kermode Bear holding her cub. They are both flanked by people of many faces raising up their hands in support of this endangered species.
